The Mission
Rushton's Hope exists to impact lives with hope in Christ by meeting physical and spiritual needs wherever the Lord leads.
Vision Statement
Rushton's Hope will impact lives with hope in Christ to provide a firm foundation in their faith.
Rushton's Hope will influence lives with love in Christ to provide a sufficient livelihood.
Rushton's Hope will improve lives with guidance in Christ to provide fulfillment of God's purpose for their lives.
The History
Rushton’s Hope was launched on 07/07/07 out of a dream by Pastor Ron Cook and his wife Wanda to impact lives with hope in Christ in obedience to the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:16-20) This would be done by providing real, relational, and reproductive multicultural, mentoring, mission opportunities "from the steeple to the people" . These would include a variety of weekly/ seasonal activities/events that have touched a multitude of souls since the launch.
The name Rushton’s Hope comes from the Old Rushton Mill Village/ Community in Griffin Georgia's inner city. This is also the home and ministry base of Ron and Wanda Cook. It is an area with a historic past , but a hurting present. The desire is to bring restoration to this area and beyond for the future by letting all the hopeless, helpless, homeless, abused & refused, rejected & neglected know that there is hope in Jesus Christ when you cry out to Him.
