CARS OF HOPE
Have you ever been stranded? Unable to get to work, go to the grocery store, take your kids to school, or to just get around? V.L., a single mom, became just such a person. In addition to having transportation issues, she has gone through a bitter divorce followed by another abusive relationship, went through job losses leading to financial struggles, & much more. With 2 cars broken down, a life falling apart, and no where to turn, she was referred to Rushton’s Hope through Philemon’s Hope.
We first met V.L. at our Saturday Café & Clothes Closet. There we had the opportunity to get her and her 11 year old son a hot meal and a few other items. We were able to provide her with an emergency box of food and then meeting with her to assess needs through our Bounty of Hope Benevolence. We have been able to help her with some transportation needs. Such as getting back and forth from a new job and other locations. Meeting V.L. has allowed us the opportunity to take her to church with us and then leading her to Christ at her home! She is now awaiting Baptism & Discipling. We are also helping her son with school supplies and clothes. She is so excited about her new found faith! However, she is still struggling with transportation needs. There’s no way she can afford to have her cars repaired. She needs to be able to get around. That’s where a new transportation ministry, Cars of Hope, is being formed. Over the years, we have had several vehicles that were donated to the ministry to help families in need of transportation. However, we haven’t had any in a few years. We need automobiles in good shape to be able help families like V.L.’s. Maybe you can help her and others by donating autos in good condition to Rushton’s Hope’s Cars of Hope Ministry or by being willing to help repair and fix any used automobiles.
V.L. wants to thank you for your support that made her assistance possible thus far; impacting another life with Hope in Christ! We also thank you for your support and we pray that the Lord will continue to multiply your blessings as you bless others!
